Ponton X/D - the XML / Database-Adapter

Another component of the Ponton X Suite is Ponton X/D. Its function is the universal connector between Ponton X/P and different database- or ERP-systems. Due to Ponton X/Ds flexibility and sophistication a direct Application-To-Application (A2A) integration between companies can be realized.

• Supports JDBC-enabled database-systems such as Oracle, IBM DB2, MS SQL Server, Informix, Sybase, MySQL, current back-end applications such as SAP R3, J.D. Edwards, Prism and many other proprietary ERP-applications
• Distribution of documents to multiple target databases or creation of outgoing documents from multiple databases in parallel
• Flexible mapping between databases, flat-file-formats and XML-files
• Mapping rules can be drastically expandend by using the Jython scripting language which also allows access of XML- and Java objects
• Static, dynamic or calculated creation of XML content
• Validation against XML schema
• Transactional database operations with defined fallback options
