Techniker Krankenkasse
The large health insurance company Techniker Krankenkasse uses Ponton X/P in connection with Ponton X/D to exchange data safely and securely with the manufacturers of a new chipcard required for all customers in the near future called "Gesundheitskarte" (health card). The decision for the Ponton X technology was driven mainly by its excellent usability and reliability but also based on its attractive licensing model. All advantages of the ebXML standard will come into play and specific functionality for this project (such as an increase in message payload to >150MB limited only by hardware parameters) has been added to the Ponton X Suite.
cadooz AG
For the cadooz AG, Ponton Consulting has developed an Online-Incentive-Portal (OIP). Based on a bonus point system this portal facilitates incentive programs for sales partners. cadooz's customers use this portal to support their sales campaigns by providing online access to sales related data for their partners. The service-oriented approach of the portal enables customers to create campaign pages in their own corporate "look-and-feel". Along with that even very complex customer-specific bonus systems can be integrated which is vital to meet the specific needs of competitive environments.
VTG Deutschland GmbH
From conception to the final touches. Ponton Consulting accompanied VTG AG for eight months, relaunching their business portal and the connected B2B pages. In this project Ponton Consulting was in charge of the technical and contextual conception as well as the management of the whole project. Due to its innovative navigation and the implemented content management system this site is extremely scalable. Evaluating the IT infrastructure we thought it very important to hand over a product that can be easily maintained by the client. The maintenance is done through a user-management concept, developed specifically for this purpose. The new web site builds the basis for the expansion of e-commerce activities planned for the future.
Munich Airport
Ponton Consulting in cooperation with C3 Consulting Group (also member of the C1 Group) has developed a high performance multicast system connecting the central flight information system to the electronic announcement channels in the new terminal.
In time for the start of the summer holidays, Munich Airport has opened its new Terminal 2 on July 1st 2003. The entire terminal was equipped with a newly developed flight information system. With this new system, information is automatically collected from various sources, enhanced, and provided to visitors as well as employees of the airport. In addition to real-time transmission and presentation of all data, the new system offers customization options at individual data terminals, allowing an up-to-date display of information for both passengers and visitors.
While overhead display screens show departure and arrival information, interactive data terminals provide further options. Visitors can search for hotels, doctors, taxis, and railway connections or for information about Munich. Employees have access to special information about airport operations. This is not limited to current check-in and luggage status, but also includes weather and taxiing information. Using the same information system for both passengers and employees will allow significant cost savings for the operation of Munich Airport Terminal 2.
The multicast solution realized by the C1 companies connects more than 250 individually controllable devices to the central database system. More than 60 display formats and presentation channels are currently supported by the system. Additional formats can be added at any time. Independent of the display device, the system has a guaranteed refresh rate of one second.
Alte Leipziger
Ponton Consulting developed an e-business strategy for the insurance company Alte Leipziger. As a first step strategic activity options were defined, based on market, competition and customer analyses. The second step was to back these up with cost-benefit analyses and to prioritize them for realization on the background of the existing strategy of Alte Leipziger. Simultaneously a web architecture was designed, that fits into the existing IT landscape and forms the basis for the technological realization of Alte Leipziger's prioritized strategic activity options in e-business.
